Interpolating your facies trend map

With the Interpolate Map form, you specify the interpolation method that will be used to estimate the values at unknown points, by using the known data points. Optionally, to have more user control over the interpolation process, you can also add constraints.

Select the facies trend map you want to work with from the Facies trend map drop-down list and continue further with the steps described per tab.

The interpolated facies trend map is available as a (probability) property with the name of the facies class under the facies trend map in the JewelExplorer.

After completing this step, a facies trend map (as a probability property per facies), which is not normalized, will appear in the JewelExplorer.    click to enlarge

You can display the facies trend map in other views as well. You can change the depth at which the map is displayed in a view where you have a depth axis, by using the context menu of the map. Right-mouse click on the map and select Display Settings > Depth Method. Select to display at the top of the view box, bottom of the view box, at a specified (fixed) depth or at the depth of the depth property (using real depth values if available). You can change the specified depth using the option Display parameters > User defined depth in the Inspector.
